Author
Nathanael Thomas Rea
Nathanael likes to say that he grew up in the wilds and in books. In his youth, if you could find him, you would have found him up a tree, under a bush, or traipsing through the forests, fields, and wetlands of his native Michigan, often with a bag of books, pens, and paper in tow. These days he mostly writes in the wee hours of the morning and the bleak hours of the night. He has numerous stories in development primarily in the fantasy and fairytale genre. These include, storybooks for children and adults with discerning tastes, middle grade and adult novels, novellas, short fiction, poetry, and other multifarious oddments of a fertile mind, all aimed at providing wonder in a time of worry.

Yes, fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory… The moneylenders, the know-nothings, the authoritarians have us all in prison; if we value the freedom of the mind and soul, if we’re partisans of liberty, then it’s our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can.
– JRR Tolkien
Faced with the sacredness of life and of the human person, and before the marvels of the universe, wonder is the only appropriate attitude.
